Founded over 30 years ago, the Architectural Heritage Center is a hub for preserving Portland’s unique historic built environment and diverse cultural heritage. As Portland grows and changes, our work helps ensure that we don’t lose what connects us to the city. Our mission and work highlight our rich architectural heritage balanced with important, critical issues like housing affordability, environmental sustainability and social equity. Each year the AHC organises over 120 public programs.
