LinnCounty Cultural Coalition seeks grant proposals – Grants must be received by 5p.m. Friday, Feb. 17. The Linn County Cultural Coalition is solicitingcompetitive grant proposals for projects which would promote and improve accessto the arts, historical/heritage and humanities activities in Linn County.Locally, this funding has helped to support historic events and research suchas the Pioneer Association’s Village of Learning in Brownsville, the LebanonCommunity Foundation’s “Star-Spangled Celebration,” and the SantiamHearts to Arts’ Poetry & Art Contest & Gallery and the “Processionof the Species” children program in Albany. Those who belong to culturalorganizations and have projects that meet the coalition’s goals are encouragedto apply for funds. Applications should be mailed to Brian Carroll/Linn CountyCultural Coalition, P.O. Box 69, Albany, OR 97321-0020 or dropped off at theLinn County Parks office, 3010 Ferry St. S.W., Albany. Grants will be awardedin the range of $250 to $2,500.
