Just in from Oregon Heritage Commission about heritage-based grants this cycle:

Museums that want to undertake projects related to heritage tourism, heritage collections or heritage education and interpretation have until April 30 to submit funding proposals for an Oregon Museum Grant.

Grant proposals from museums of all sizes and purposes are encouraged and will be considered. “A dollar match for funds requested is not required, although museums are encouraged to seek additional local funding,” says Kuri Gill, heritage grants and outreach for Oregon Heritage.

“Local support allows the program to assist more museums and fosters local support. Match can be in the form of cash, in‐kind donations, volunteer time or another grant, such as one from the Oregon Cultural Trust.”

More information about the grants is available here.

Gill will be available for questions about museum grant projects at the joint Conversations with Funders Workshops sponsored by the partners of the Oregon Cultural Trust. The workshops are April 9 in Bend, April 10 in Burns, April 15 in The Dalles and Echo, and April 16 in LaGrande. She can also be contacted at 503-986-0685.
