Happy Holidays from Oregon Cultural Trust!

December is half over and time is running out to contribute to the Cultural Trust for 2012!

You have two weeks to make a donation to your favorite Oregon cultural non-profits, match with a gift to the Trust and qualify for the generous tax credit by the end of the year. Are you a member of your local museum or historical society? Do you give to your college foundation or local theater company? Now is a good time to tally your 2012 contributions to cultural non-profits, including the tax deductible part of your membership dues, and match the total with a gift to the Cultural Trust.

Don’t know whether your favorite cultural non-profit is eligible for a Cultural Trust match? Go to the Cultural Trust participating cultural nonprofit list and search by name, city, county or key word.

The Cultural Trust is unique in requiring donors to give to one or more of 1,300 Oregon cultural non-profits to take advantage of the Oregon cultural tax credit.  This encourages giving, not only to the Trust, but also to the many arts, heritage and humanities organizations that make Oregon healthy, vibrant and strong.

The Oregon Cultural Trust is our state’s cultural champion, nurturing the arts, heritage and humanities treasures that keep our state healthy, vibrant and alive, by building a permanent fund for culture, now at $17 million, and by giving over $1.5million in grants every year.

The Trust receives over 80% of its contributions in the last three weeks of the year; the more money contributed, the more grants the Trust can award across Oregon. Give Today!
