Up now through May 27 at The Arts Center in Corvallis: “MICROBIOMES: TO SEE THE UNSEEN.” The exhibit illuminates the connections between the science of microbiology and how microorganisms are the foundation of life.

Microbiologists often find beauty and patterns in microbes with which they work. The featured artwork addresses a range of possible connections between art and microbiology research, combining the art with images of the artists’ source of inspiration.

Participating artists learned about microbiology research at Oregon State University and worked in the lab with graduate student researchers. The resulting artwork addresses a range of connections between art and microbiology.
