Founded in 1946, GFO is an all-volunteer membership organization that strives to promote, educate, compile, publish and preserve genealogy and genealogical resources. To accomplish this, GFO offers an array of classes, workshops, and seminars while operating the largest genealogical research library in Oregon with over 40,000 holdings and providing access to six online database subscriptions. Visitors are always welcome, and non-members can use the library for free once a month.
