North Tillamook Library was built in 1987 and is a unique public-private partnership between an all-volunteer non-profit board and the Tillamook County Library. The Board maintains the buildings and grounds; TCL provides staff, media and programs. The Board receives no tax revenue. The NTL service territory includes Manzanita, Wheeler, Nehalem and surrounding rural communities. In 2016, NTL completed a major interior renovation to increase space for educational programs and technology use.
