NIVA was formed to serve the needs of the American Indian Veteran Community. We work to ensure access to the VA’s healthcare system, other entitlements, benefits and programs that can assist. NIVA also promotes and advances the needs of and services to Indian Veterans and their families by promoting the American Indian Veteran in a positive image and manner, promoting traditional methods to heal from military trauma and promoting awareness of American Indian’s unique culture and traditions.
