Southern Oregon is one of the last areas in the country to receive public television, with SOPTV’s initial broadcast on January 18, 1977. The Medford-Klamath Falls broadcast market is one of the smallest in the country, and our station is one of the few in the U.S. to be truly community-owned — not tied to a state government or college. SOPTV strives and perseveres to provide local content focusing on these key pillars: Community, Citizenship, Youth/Education, Health, and Arts.
