Founded in 2000, The Friends of Mt. Tabor Park strives to improve and maintain Mt. Tabor Park, to identify and solve problems, and to fund and participate in park projects. FMTP also offers programs to educate the public about the park’s ecological health and its unique geological and rich cultural history. FMTP works with Portland Parks and Recreation and neighborhood associations to monitor park use and operation and support effective management and maintenance of the park.

Our mission is to provide library services to Myrtle Creek and zip code 97457 as a volunteer library following the collapse of Douglas County Library System in 2017. We support the Myrtle Creek population of 3,500, plus 8,900+ in zip code 97457, who are generally low-income, elderly and many families with children.

Friends of Mystery is a non-profit literary/educational organization headquartered in Portland, Oregon. For more than 30 years we have presented lectures, published a newsletter, and sponsored reading groups. We promote educational study in all realms of mystery. Our members are interested in fiction, true crime detection, the process by which solutions are achieved, and many other aspects of mystery. We meet 5 times annually at The Old Church for "Bloody Thursdays."

About the Friends of 4449 Inc. SP 4449 was built in 1941 as a GS-4 "Northern" type locomotive. A 4-8-4 wheel arrangement. Retired to static display at Oaks Park in 1958, most thought SP 4449 would never run again. In 1974, she was selected to pull the American Freedom Train throughout the United States, and was subsequently rebuilt. SP 4449 ran for three years to the delight of over 30 million people. She is arguably one of the most beautiful locomotives ever built

In 1941, the Friends of the Albany Public Library was established to provide funds for programs and equipment not covered by the City budget. Officially organized in 1998, Friends of Canby Public Library has been going strong supporting the services our library provides our community. Membership dues are gentle on the pocketbook and are based on a calendar year. We operate the Book Garden used book store within the Canby library and use those funds to pay for the programs the library produces. In addition to cash donations which are tax deductible, we accept books, magazines, cd's, etc. for resale within the Book Garden.

The Friends of the Clatskanie Library was incorporated in March of 1991 as a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization. The Friends of the Cornelius Public Library is dedicated to supporting the library through volunteer activities, donations, and fundraising to help the library be a successful part of the community. Over the last few years, we have been planning for a new 14,000 sf library to replace our current 3,000 sf space. We have raised over $3.4 million towards our goal of $4.8 million. The new library will have many more services and be a community resource and gathering center.

Friends of the Historic Columbia River Highway support the restoration and reconnection of the historic highway through the Columbia River Gorge. Our vision is to restore and preserve the existing drivable portions of the historic highway to their splendid 1920s appearance and link drivable portions with pedestrian and bicycle accessible connections, creating a continuous route through the Columbia River Gorge. Founded in 2006.

Founded in the early 1950's and incorporated in 1979, the Friends of the Ledding Library provide financial, political and volunteer support for the Ledding Library and its programs. Funding provided by the Friends supports purchases of materials and equipment for the Library as well as paying for programming for children, young adults and adults.

The Friends of the Little Log Church Museum, a 501(c)(3) non-profit oversight and fundraising board, have persevered for over 8 years so that the restoration project would become an actuality. They are delighted with the skilled expertise and care of the restoration crew. Donations may be sent to PO Box 712 Yachats, OR 97498. The Little Log Church Museum at the corner of West 3rd and Pontiac streets was built in the late 1920s by community volunteers using local timber hauled down the Yachats River. It was completed and dedicated in 1930. It was served by ministers from the Oregon Conference of the Evangelical Church, and later by pastors from the Presbyterian Church. When the congregation grew too large for the little building, members built a new church a few blocks away, and the Little Log Church and property was sold to the Oregon Historical Society on the condition it be maintained as a museum. It became a museum in 1970 and was deeded to the City of Yachats in 1986. The Little Log Church Museum houses photographs of the area, settler exhibits, and works by former resident artists and authors. The Little Log Church Museum is operated by volunteers on behalf of the City of Yachats for citizens and visitors alike. The Little Log Church Museum is currently closed to the public as repairs are being made.

In conjunction with the Friends of the Little Log Church and Museum 501(c)3 board, the City is remodeling the Little Log Church Museum.  The current building has extensive dry rot and an unstable foundation.  The Friends of the Little Log Church Museum helped to raise funds for the remodel.

The Friends of the North Plains Public Library (Friends) group is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that coordinates fundraising events and activities to benefit the library. The Friends first met in October 2001 with the dream of establishing a library in North Plains that would eventually become part of the Washington County Cooperative Library Services in 2007.

The Friends of the Nyssa Library's mission is to support and promote the Nyssa Public Library. The furnishings and setting create a feeling of nostalgia that is unforgettable.

In 1988 a group of library patrons realized how much the Library had enriched their lives and they wanted to give something back in return.  They wanted to take an active role in helping the library provide its services to the county.  They called themselves Friends Of The Library.   They incorporated,  wrote bylaws, elected a board of directors and got to work. Over the years the Friends have volunteered thousands of service hours working at the library; solicited books for the bi-annual Book Sale, run the sale,  and raised significant dollars; sponsored countless cultural events. The driving force behind the Friends is the desire to help the Library enhance the services it provides – through literature, community involvement with writers and writing, access to literary culture.

Our non-profit corporation's primary purpose is to partner with the Siuslaw Public Library District through advocacy and fundraising. Members participate in activities such as book sales, volunteering at the library, programs for the public benefit, and many other projects that support our library district in this small coastal area. The community has been blessed with a beautiful library that is used by thousands of visitors as well as local community members.

The Willamette Art Center’s programming, services and activities revolve around three main areas: art education and promotion, art opportunity and the betterment of the community through art. Since 1989 Friends of Trees has planted more than 1 million trees and native shrubs in neighborhoods and natural areas in six counties across two states. We’ve done this by bringing together over 75,000 community members, and while implementing and growing programming that aims to do this work inclusively and equitably. The mission of Friends of Tryon Creek (FOTC), in partnership with Oregon State Parks, is to inspire and nurture relationships with nature in this unique urban forest. Future Prairie is a queer art museum founded in January 2018 by poet Joni Renee Whitworth. ​We host artist residencies in beautiful downtown Portland, Oregon, and we pay marginalized artists to create art. Our work centers the narratives of women, disabled, racial, ethnic, gender, and sexual minorities, and low-income individuals. Our curatorial team is comprised of opera singer Emmanuel Henreid, filmmaker Hannah Hefner, and designer Tiana Avila.

Our Mission: We build community by connecting you to resources, programs and one another. Garden Home Library began in 1983 using leftover books from Garden Home Elementary School, which closed in 1982. In 1994, Garden Home Community Library Association became an official non-profit organization, then joined Washington County Cooperative Library Services (WCCLS) in 1996. After expanding once in 2004, the library will grow to over 3,000 square feet with another expansion slated for 2018-19.
